For potential research partners, supporters and interested individuals and organisations

I cannot and do not want to carry out this project alone and am open to cooperation, encounters, exchange, opening up joint research spaces with and for...

Potential research partners from all scientific disciplines

... who feel addressed by this research project, I invite to contact me. My goal is to build a virtual research laboratory "Dementia Transcendence", transdisciplinary, "post-post-conventional" (or perhaps better: a-conventional), with a transpersonal to unitary orientation both in the research object and also as research subjects. This project wants to emerge in doing and being together, with the willingness to transcend previous academic structures, rules and habits.

I am interested in contact and exchange with scientists from the fields of philosophy, neurology, Tibetan medicine, Buddhism, Hinduism, geriatrics, anaesthesia, anthroposophy, neuroanatomy, neurophenomenology, transpersonal psychology, embryology, transpersonal gerontology, consciousness development research, quantum social science, quantum physics ...

Have you, secretly or quite obviously, been dealing for some time with the question of what dementia really is and how the phenomenon comes about, and are you not satisfied with the explanations provided by the conventional medical narrative, or have you long since developed your own theories?

Are you interested in delving into dimensions of consciousness that lie beyond our understanding and are not afraid to participate in a field of research that openly explores the connection between science and spirituality and from there tries to gain new insights into dementia and reclassify existing ones?

I would like to work with scientifically minded and researching people who see consciousness development not only as an object of research but also as one of their personal tasks as scientists, who have a basic understanding of integral, construct-awareness, transpersonal or want to think their way into it, and who already know and practise cooperative, co-creative, evolutionary forms of science (this is new territory for me, so I would like to learn there!) and/or are willing to grow into these forms with others.

Practitioners from the field of dementia

... with knowledge and awareness of the transpersonal dimension of consciousness, who are interested in exchange and support and would like to be part of practical research.

People with experiences of consciousness that are labelled as dementia

... who want to contribute their own experiences to this research process, have an interest in consciousness research/spirituality, and are prepared to face the challenging process of stabilising their own consciousness on the personal level or even expanding it in the transpersonal direction if the previous process seems to lead in a pre-personal direction - in the awareness that they are in a research process that wants to test certain theses (with the possibility that the theses will be refuted and such an effect cannot be achieved).

Relatives, private and professional caregivers

... with an openness to consciousness research, spirituality and the willingness to want to expand and develop into the transpersonal dimension of consciousness - in the awareness that they are in a research process that wants to test certain theses (with the possibility that the theses will be refuted).

Interested and supporting persons

... who find this research project important and are willing and able to support it both materially and immaterially - in the awareness that they are interested in and support a research process that wants to test certain theses (with the possibility that the theses will be refuted).

For the time being, I am the one who needs financial support as well as organising contacts with scientists, institutions, grants, etc.

Support options

After several years of self-financing the research necessary for the knowledge and hypotheses I have already gained, and living from my reserves and an inheritance and reducing my living costs to a minimum, I am now at a point where I have to decide whether I want to finance my livelihood again in the future through my self-employed work as a gerontologist, educator and coach - or whether I want to dedicate myself to this research first and foremost.

Basically, it's not a question of whether I want to, but of doing it - for many years, dementia research has been like a "calling" in my life that won't let me go, and the knowledge I have now gained must be brought into the world and, above all, it must be scientifically tested. In conversations with friends and people who are interested in this work, but above all in long inner conversations with my higher self, I have repeatedly reviewed my motives and finally decided to put research at the centre of my life and to pursue my professional activities (education, counselling, supervision and coaching) only in a framework that supports research, i.e. primarily for making the insights I have gained so far and the insights I will generate together with others in the future available to other people.

However, putting research at the centre of my life means - at least for the time being - that I am dependent on financial support to finance this work, also in order to be able to (re)create a framework for my life in which I can focus on research in a healthy and fully concentrated way. To this end, I am asking people who have these (financial or also other) possibilities to support me:

Apart from the possibility of supporting me "without intention" with a one-off or regular contribution, so far my antiquarian bookshelf (only in German) is available from my library liquidation, from which I currently want to finance an upcoming trip to a transpersonal conference in Oxford. The side effect is that every purchase of one or more books helps me to further reduce my possessions - to my amazement, after moving my things out of storage where they have been hidden from my eyes for three years, I find a large number of things that I no longer need - and that I often didn't really realise I still owned.

The easiest way to support me is

Paypal...

but I'm also happy to pass on my bank details on request.

The Patreon account for longer-term sponsorship of my texts, graphics and research thoughts has been online for some time now, and there are various ways to follow my texts and thoughts as a "patron" and, if desired, also participate in monthly exchanges or longer-term personal support. From August 2024, I will publish a short or also slightly longer text, a graphic with explanations or an aspect from my "Zettelkasten" there every week. However, the first two texts are public and can already be read now. All texts will also be posted in German and English: Transcending Dementia

Other ways to support me are mainly to publicise my work by sharing it in your personal circle or on social media, to make potential research partners aware of my work, to publicise my offers, to invite me for a seminar in a personal circle or also in an official setting on one of the topics related to the research, .... Other suggestions and ideas, e.g. support in submitting funding applications (this is something I am desperate to do myself), proofreading my website or my articles, are welcome.
